Times Nature Proved It’s Too Weird For Us To Handle

ANIMALS, FUNNY

Believe it or not, a blue whale can make a fart bubble so big that a horse could fit inside it (although we’re pretty sure that wouldn’t be very nice for the horse). Also, we bet you didn’t know that a female wallaby, while running from a predator, will toss her joey from her pouch to reduce her weight as well as to give her pursuer something to snack on. And did you know that an armadillo’s armor is so thick that a bullet once bounced off it and hit the person who fired it? Scroll down for more weird and wonderful nature facts. They come from a website called Weird Nature and you’re sure to learn a thing or two you didn’t know before. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite!

facts about nature

Your Mind

It’s easy to take it for granted, but our planet is an amazing place. Here we have 12 amazing facts about nature that we think will blow your mind! If you just go about your day to day life, not really thinking about the world around you, then you’re missing out on so much. If you give it a chance, nature will surprise and astound you in all kinds of wonderful ways. It’s truly amazing some of the things that happen on Earth and even farther out in the solar system. Check out these awesome facts and prepare to be amazed!

Incredible facts about our world

We are so pleased to hear that this species of rhino still exists. We don’t blame them for going into hiding to be honest, it’s probably their best chance of survival.

This made us smile! We’re not going to wonder too much about how people managed to get dolphins to speak over phones, or how we could figure out that they recognized each other, because we’re too amazed at this awesome nature fact!

It does not surprise us that peacock feathers are beautiful close up as they are magnificent at normal range! The stunning colors shown really are nothing short of beautiful.

This is so upsetting. Here we have this wonderful animal that has lived her life, finally able to avoid her natural predators. However, she’s at risk of an entirely different species killing her for sport. Sometimes we are ashamed of the human race!

Wow. We were not expecting that ending! These facts about nature really are opening our eyes to so many things!

It sounds like the hermit crabs have figured out a way of living that works for them! It might seem a little harsh on the small creatures, but size doesn’t always equal fighting skill!

What a stunning place. And, to think it was stumbled upon by accident. We wonder how many beautiful things are out there given to us humans by nature that haven’t been discovered yet…

There’s something really nice about this. These creatures know how to move and thrive as one being, despite being so many of them.

We can’t help but laugh at the irony of trying to hide inside a translucent fish!

Note to self… never get on the wrong side of a crow!

Things like this truly do blow our minds.

the bible is not the word of God

By Femi Aribisala

Nowhere in the bible is it said or implied that the bible is the word of God. As a matter of fact, the bible is not even in the bible. Scriptures referring to the word of God never refer to the bible. For example, Moses says: “The word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Abram.’” (Genesis 15:1). It was not the bible that spoke to Abram. The word of God came to him before any scriptures were written and before the bible was compiled. Therefore, neither the scriptures nor the bible can be the word of God.

John says: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and with-out Him nothing was made that was made.” (John 1:1-3). This immediately disqualifies the bible as the word of God. Just think how incongruous it would be to substitute “the word” in John’s verses for “the bible.” It would read: “In the beginning was the bible, and the bible was with God, and the bible was God. The bible was in the beginning with God. All things were made through the bible, and without the bible nothing was made that was made.”

However, the bible was not with God in the beginning; and the bible is not God. The bible did not create the world. It was not even in existence at the creat-ion of the world. The first Christian bible was not published until 1516.

Living word

John says: “I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True … He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.” (Revelation 19:11-13). John did not see the bible: he saw Jesus.

Hebrews also proclaims: “The word of God is living and powerful.., and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12). Certainly, this is not referring to the bible. The bible contains dead letters. It cannot discern the thoughts and intents of its readers. But that is Jesus’ speciality. Jesus says: “I am He who searches the minds and hearts.” (Revelation 2:23). It is Jesus, and not the bible, that is the word of God.

A definitive feature of the word of God is that it has and gives life. John says of the word: “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:4). But Jesus maintains there is no life in the scriptures. He says to the Jews: “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.” (John 5:39-40).

The Jews searched the scriptures in the mistaken assumption eternal life could be obtained by reading them. But alas, they could find no life in them because the life is in Jesus. God himself is eternal life and it is vain to seek the living among the dead. (Luke 24:5).

The scriptures are signposts identifying Jesus as “the way, the truth and the life.” (John 14:6). But in order to inherit eternal life, we have to come to Jesus himself, and not just read the bible.

Divorced from God, the letter in the bible kills, but the spirit gives life. (2 Corinthians 3:6). Jesus says: “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63). It is the word that Jesus speaks, the word that comes directly from the mouth of God, which gives life. It is God’s spoken word and not the inspired written word that is the word of God. Jesus says: “Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4).

Living bible

This explains why Jesus had no secretary, and why he asked no one to record his words in a book. Jesus did not promise that God would inspire the compilation of his words into a bible for future reference. Instead, he promises his disciples that: “The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” (John 14:26).

This makes the Holy Spirit our living bible. He delivers the word of God to us directly at critical junctures in our lives as required. John confirms this: “You have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, in your hearts, so that you don’t need anyone to teach you what is right. For he teaches you all things, and he is the Truth, and no liar.” (I John 2:27).

Thus, if the word of God was with God in the beginning, where is it now? One thing is for sure, it cannot be in a bible. Even Moses, the law-giver, tells us where to find it. He says: “It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, ‘Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?’ Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, ‘Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?’ No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.” (Deuteronomy 30:12-14).

New Testament

Through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, God has placed his word in our hearts and minds. Indeed, that is the promise of the New Testament. God says: “This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.” (Jeremiah 31:33-34).

Thus, the word of God is delivered to us direct-ly by the Holy Spirit and not through a bible. Jesus says of the Holy Spirit: “He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but what-ever He hears He will speak.” (John 16:13). This means the Holy Spirit will never cont-radict the words of Jesus in the bible.

The bible reveals the word of God came to some people in the past. Thereby, it encourages us to establish similar relationships with God today. John says: “That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.” (I John 1:3-4).

God Is Not A Trinity

The word “Trinity” can be found nowhere in the Bible. It is completely incongruous with scriptural understanding of God. God is not three persons. There is only one God and it is the Father. Jesus says: “salvation is of the Jews.” (John 4:22). Salvation is neither of the Romans nor…

only the wise serve God

By Pastor Oloruntimilehin Joshua Daramola

WHO is the God people are serving all time? Where is He? Where does He live? Is He living in heaven or earth? Nobody claimed to have seen God. In the scripture, Moses, Elijah and Jesus were seen on earth.

None of them met each other on earth but Jesus heard about Moses and Elijah and preached about their words. The stories and era of these people are facts and witnesses that show how great God is.

Today, many people do not know, God they know something exists. Who owns and controls the activities of man? It is God. The Elders describe God as the One that does what He likes. He created people in different forms, some are able and some are disabled from birth which shows God does what He likes.

Then who is this God? If some people do not know Him, then are they supp-osed to be doing His wish or not? The person that can kill and revive, bring about sorrow and happi-ness. Are we not to fear Him?

Similarly some people say God is tough but they are living unpleasant lives. Isaiah 45:7 says: “I form the light and create dark-ness. I make peace and create calamity, I the Lord do all these things”. Jesus was asked whether it was the sin of blind man’s parent that made him blind from birth. Jesus replied that the blind man was created in that form so that the work of God should be revealed in him John 9:1-3. Imagine some-body would be created blind so that he or she could be used for sign and wonder.

2019 FIFA WWC: Tough Draw For Super Falcons

These people experiencing these problems are not better than the blind man Jesus healed. In fact people would show mercy to the blind man than those fac-ing problems. Yet some people say God is not tough. If God is not tough, He would not allow friends to depend on each other for survival, husband to dep-end on the wife, some to depend on the younger brother or sister. He would ensure everybody is treat-ed equally Brethren, it is therefore imperative for people to rely on God be-cause who ever rely on God shall not lack good things of life. This is how God works.

When a person that says God is not tough complains about church doing things excessively and does not embrace what is Godly, the person shall continue in his or her suffering. But those who are serving God diligently and know that God is tough, praying fer-vently, that do not sleep or slumber and trying to move closer to God are eating good foods and drinking good wine and wearing good clothes. If they refuse to do all that pleases and serve God then they will know God is tough.

If you do not serve God you would not eat and if you do not serve Him and you are eating you are cheat-ing and eating from Sat-an. For me I am serving diligently and I do not lack good things of life with my family. God revealed to me several years ago three things required for man to do on earth firstly he should eat very well se-condly to worship and ser-ve Him and thirdly for man to die.

Home Profiles Meet Lengdung – The Computer Guru

Lengdung Tungchamma describes himself as one who is putting a dent on the world.

He had this to say when he was asked about how he started, “In 2007, I heard that a young college dropout had invented a powerful tool that allowed those in Nigeria to connect with those in Canada, it gave the world a platform to connect in a radical way.”

“That invention was Facebook, and the inventor, Mark Zuckerberg! The idea that a college dropout who was 19 years old could create something that united the world in such a way was fascinating to me.”

“I insisted to my father that I needed to undergo a computer lesson and he enrolled me. Throughout the lessons, my dream was to log in to Facebook with a Computer. That would have satisfied me in a remarkable way. It did not happen; I had to wait until 2015.”

“From 2009 to 2015, I was inquisitive about the computer world; I read everything that I could find. I played with the computers in our school, I disrupted settings and I was very up to speed on how to use phones and gadgets.”

“It was not surprising that I chose Computer Science when I applied for admission to the University of Jos and it is not surprising that it is what I am studying.”

“Mark Zuckerberg was the person who influenced me on this path. I have never taken time to think about what I wanted to be, I knew right from that time that I heard of Mark Zuckerberg.”

Lengdung is often inspired by thoughts about the future. “Look at the future; it is there, waiting for us to bring it into reality. The future is begging us to make it grand, beautiful and amazing. Since the future is there, wanting and willing to be great, why not we be the creators of that future?”

“Once in a while, someone ought to do great things, a Martin Luther, a Jeff Bezos, a Mark Zuckerberg, an Abraham Lincoln, or any great personality of history, I am that someone.”

Concerning a project that boosted his confidence, Lengdung says, “Jenta Reads Community Initiative (www.jentareads.blogspot.com ) is the project that changed my life. Even if Jenta Reads Community Initiative had failed, I would have turned out very different.”

“I and my friends were totally tired of the condition in our community hence we embarked on the project to change the story of our community, we knew education was the way. So we set up a library that is currently providing books to over 35,000 people. Jenta Reads changed me.”

And now, “Ketrido.Com is the new bride I am getting married too! The vision of Ketrido.Com is to empower local entrepreneurs by selling and delivering only locally made products.”

“Young people are designing amazing clothes, shoes etc but they are unable to reach a vast market which is available. Ketrido.Com (www.ketrido.com ) is here to be that link! And with our services, we deliver goods within 30 minutes of order! We sell at the best possible price.”

“I am currently seeking for, especially, mentorship opportunities. Where I am going, I will need a lot of shoulders to stand on. Also, I am seeking for funding opportunities.”

Lengdung also learnt his voice on youth empowerment. The best way to empower youths is to give them an education. Education is the key! Give the youths education; right education, not just the school education or incomplete education. “

“Education is the most powerful we can give to anyone that we wants to help. Let the youths be given the right education, we will not be talking about youth empowerment in the next few years.”

6 benefit of the best kept secret kept in it: thin client

Thin clients are not a new phenomenon in government IT, and have been in development for decades. Recently I spoke with Cody Gerhardt, Client Virtualization Pre-Sales Technical Consultant, HP, and he provided expert insights as to why thin clients are now gaining more attention from IT professionals. “As more government agencies start to look at VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft Virtual offerings, the adaptation of VDI technologies has brought interest to thin devices,” said Gerhardt.

In today’s fiscal climate, government agencies are making strategic IT investment decisions to spur efficiencies and innovation to meet growing agency demand. Specifically, agencies are deploying thin client solutions as part of their IT investments since they allow government workers to access information from anywhere on virtual desktops. In brief, thin clients move all data and computing resources from individual desktops to a remote, centralized server that can be accessed from any device through a secure login portal. Properly implemented, thin clients can lead to many benefits for government agencies. Gerhardt described six core benefits, which are explored in the report below:

1. Reliability

2. Resilience

3. Reduced Power Use

4. PC Replacement

5. Efficiency

6. Security

When your computer starts acting a little slow, a lot of people jump to their resource monitor to see what’s causing problems. However, just looking at a bunch of charts and graphs isn’t going to tell you what’s wrong unless you really know what you’re looking for. High CPU is a common problem with one app slowing your system down, and as soon as you close it, the issue should go away. High network activity could be the cause of slow internet or slow file transfers over the network. RAM usage, however, is where a lot of people get thrown off: high RAM usage isn’t inherently a bad thing. Know the difference between good and bad RAM usage before you start blaming processes. What is computer?

Several attempts has been made to define computer in various ways:(1) computer is an electronic device. As mentioned in the introduction it can do arithmetic calculations faster. But as you will see later it does much than that. It can be compared to a magic box, which serves different purpose to different people. (2) for a common man compute is simply a calculator, which works automatically and quite faster. (3) for a person who knows much much about it, computer is a machine capable of solving problems and manipulating data. It accepts data, processes the data by doing some mathematical and logical operations and gives us the desired output. Therefore, we may define computer as a device that transforms data. Data can be anything like marks obtained by you in various subjects. It can also be name, age, sex, weight, height, etc. Of all the students in your class or income, savings, investments, etc., of a country. Computer can be defined in terms of it’s functions. It can (1) accept data (2) store data, (3) process data as desired, and (4) retrieve the store data as and when required and (5) print the result in desired format. You will know more about these functions as you go through the later lessons.

introduction

We are familiar with calculation in our day to day life. We apply mathematical operations like addition, subtraction, multiplications, etc. And many other formulae for calculations. Simpler calculations take less time. But complex calculations take much longer time. Another factor is accuracy in calculations. So man explored with the idea to develope a machine which can perform this type of arithmetic calculation faster and with full accuracy. This gave birth to a device or machine called ‘COMPUTER’. The computer we see today is quite different from the one made in the beginning. The number of application of a computer has increased. You must appreciate the impact of computer in our day to day life. Reservation of ticket in airlines and railways, payment of telephone and electricity bills, deposits and withdrawals of money from banks, business data processing, medical diagnosis, weather forecasting, etc. Are some of the areas where computer has become extremely useful. However there is one limitation of the computer. Human beings do calculations on their own. But computer is a dumb machine and it has to be given proper instructions to carry out it’s calculation. This is why we should know how a computer works.
